So who has the power or the influence to get the job done?
The answer is simple: Those who take the initiative. Support and join your fellow citizens in combating suffering and criminal activity in your community.
The Virginia Initiative is one of many organized groups of citizens throughout the country ready to take on the greatest problems affecting our communities.
Our mission: to assist local law enforcement in helping to shut down criminal activity and decrease the effects of homelessness, to help those in need, to bring faith, hope, and peace of mind back to our fellow citizens; to educate and empower citizens helping them to understand the problems they face from the root and how to deal with them, one solution at a time.
For the people, by the people.
Will you stand by and watch or will you stand by us?
Take the Initiative.
"We are individuals organized towards achieving peacekeeping objectives and humanitarian missions. This will translate into a variety of non-monetary services as unfolding events demand. Our primary goal will always be to help those in the most need to the highest ethical standard and to the maximum effect."

Ira was born in Norfolk, Virginia and his lived in the Seven Cities (Hampton Roads area) all his life. By day he is a father and a mechanic, by night he works part time as an armed guard and a bouncer. When he's not working for the Department of Criminal Justice Services he's patrolling the streets of Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Chesapeake, scouring high crime areas and looking for the homeless in need. Ira is also a huge history nerd. You can often find him taking windy walks and snapping photos with his son through Ghents historic district, down by the waterside jogging or biking, at any number of local pubs cracking jokes on domestic beer drinkers, spending some QT with his VAI family, brushing up on foreign/military martial arts, dodging knife attacks, and spending as much time as possible with his lady, the CAI:LA's Sakura Tora.
